Well MobileMe Sucks

July 22, 2008

Well after several days of messing with mobileme and a few hours on with tech support, I find the service useless for any person conducting business from their iPhone.

The service is branded as Exchange for the rest of us. Other than the lack of a true push calendar the service lacks one basic feature. The ability to setup a sent from/reply to address. This feature is available on the Exchange account options, but is lacking in the mobileme options. I am guessing Apple expects only high school kids will use the push feature. My blackberry push account allowed me to change my “sent from” address, but I was paying for that. Oh wait! Mobileme is a pay service so I would expect that basic feature. I understood why Yahoo push mail lacked this feature due to it being free.

So I am on the search for an affordable push mail option that will work with this phone. I am sure at some keynote Steve Jobs will announce copy & paste and the send from feature. Then the sky will open and the birds will sing and all iPhone lovers will praise Jobs for these innovative features.

Whatever!

Thank goodness for 60 trials

Apparently a lot of retailers are getting used PS3s back. People had hoped to hawk them off onto eBay and didn’t get the sale they were looking for. In the coming days, we are likely to see a saturation of PS3s in the marketplace.

Wow! What a gift! The title says it all.

From the site: “What do you get when you mix Apple iPods and Origami? Well, if your BIG Images every employee gets a Second Gen iPod Shuffle wrapped in two small origami boxes, each folded from a one-hundred-dollar bill…”

Nate True has developed yet another impressive hack using UV strobe lights, luminescent-dyed water, and a timer to create the illusion of water stopping in the air, slowing down the splashes into the pool beneath, and even travelling upward. You have to see it to believe it.
